For six years he lived in Rafiach, Gaza, with his wife and five children. 

Jonathan has led Shevet Achim (Brothers Together) since 1994. He and the Shevet Achim team have brought hundreds and hundreds of children – from Gaza, Jordan, Iraq and Syria – to Israel for free, life-saving heart surgeries.
