Jerusalem Seminary certificate tracks are an enriching and efficient way to receive recognition for your JS School of the Bible courses. Choose from the four tracks below and get started working towards an official JS School of the Bible certificate!
Each certificate is made up of four courses: two required courses from the related field plus two relevant elective courses. Only courses taken for credit count towards our certificate tracks. It may be possible to finish within one semester, depending on available courses and scheduling. Typically a certificate could take a year or more to complete; it should be completed within two years.
Follow these easy steps to complete your certificate:
1. Decide which track you would like to work towards. JS currently has four options:
- Hebrew and Biblical Studies
- Jewish Studies
- Land of the Bible Studies
- Israel Studies
2. Start registering for courses! Refer to the lists below to make sure you are taking the correct courses for your desired track:
I. Hebrew and Biblical Studies: *
- The following two courses:
- Biblical Hebrew as a Living Language (appropriate level)
- Biblical Hebrew as a Living Language (appropriate level)
- And two electives from the following courses:
- Unfolding Proverbs
- Tanakh: Text and Tradition
- Life and Land of Yeshua
- The Gospel of Matthew in its First Century Jewish Context
II. Jewish Studies: *
- Two courses from the following:
- Discovering Jewish Life: Then and Now
- Early Christian Worship in its Jewish Context
- The Early Church and Jewish Sages
- Tanakh: Text and Tradition
- And two electives from the following courses:
- Biblical Hebrew as a Living Language (1 or 2 semesters)
- Life and Land of Yeshua
- The Gospel of Matthew in its First Century Jewish Context
- Israel Matters
III. Land of the Bible: *
- Two courses from the following:
- Life and Land of the Bible (Semester 1)
- Life and Land of the Bible (Semester 2)
- Life and Land of Yeshua
- And two electives from the following courses:
- Tanakh: Text and Tradition
- Discovering Jewish Life: Then and Now
- Early Church and Jewish Sages
- Early Christian Worship in its Jewish Context
- Biblical Hebrew as a Living Language
IV. Israel Studies:
Choose any 4 JS School of the Bible courses
